Looking at the Chargers vs Raiders injury reports and inactives for the NFL Week 15 TNF game, both the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders are beaten down and banged up.
Each with 5-8 records on the season, both of these AFC West rivals can kiss their dreams of NFL postseason play goodbye. And for a number of elite players on both sides of the line of scrimmage, playing at all is also in doubt, which definitely could impact the Chargers vs Raiders picks.
There’s no question in that regard for Chargers QB1 Justin Herbert. He’s done for the year following finger surgery. LA WR Keenan Allen (heel) is also out this week.
For the Raiders, RB Josh Jacobs (quad), the reigning NFL rushing champion, is doubtful to play.
Las Vegas is the 3-point home chalk over Los Angeles in the Chargers vs Raiders odds. The Chargers are 1-4 against the spread over their past five games.

Raiders Adams Expected to Play
The news on Jacobs, who’s leading the Raiders with 805 yards on the ground and six rushing TDs this season, is not encouraging. Though listed as questionable in the Las Vegas injury report, team officials are saying it’s very much in doubt that Jacobs will be playing.

On the other hand, the word is much more promising on Davante Adams. Unable to practice due to illness, word is that he will be playing.
There’s also a world of hurt along the Raiders offensive line. Both LT Kolton Miller (knee) and center Andre James (ankle) are out.

How Could Injuries Affect Chargers vs Raiders Betting Lines?
Certainly, the key injuries for both clubs’ offenses is going to be affecting how you approach wagering on the Chargers vs Raiders player props.
Easton Stick, getting the nod at QB for the Chargers, will be making his first NFL start. An NFLer since 2000, this will only be his third game experience.

With Allen out, there’s a chance for WR Quentin Johnson to step up in what has been an underwhelming rookie campaign for the Chargers’ first-round draft pick. He’s fourth on the team with 29 receptions. There was also a positive outcome for WR Josh Palmer. Beginning the week as probable due to a knee ailment, he’s been cleared to play.
For the Raiders, LT Miller will be missing his fourth game of the season. Jermaine Eluemunor again starts in his absence. Dylan Parham will get the start at center in place of James, with Jordan Meredith starting at LG, Parham’s usual spot.
Even if Jacobs is able to play, look for the Raiders to go with a RB by committee approach that would also include Zamir White and Ameer Abdullah in the rotation.
